Scholarships

Criteria and Procedure

  1. Scholarships are offered to SBC students with financial needs.
  2. Successful applicants will be offered scholarships for 100% tuition fee and 50% professional fee. Applicants should note that they are required to prepare additional financial support for accommodation* and living expenses. *A 1-year start-up grant (dorm fee) is available for those from some developing countries.
  3. Students enrolling in part-time studies or one-year full-time programmes are not eligible for scholarship grants.
  4. Students must be involved for at least 3 years of full-time Christian ministry upon graduation and submit their ministry report annually for 3 years.
  5. Scholarship recipients are required to return to their native country and/or mission field upon graduation.
  6. Scholarship recipients are required to serve in the college for not more than three hours per week during the school semester. Online students are to do 45 hours of community service in their hometowns in SBC’s name.
  7. Scholarship recipients must maintain the following minimum GPA in every semester:
    • MMin: 2.8
    • Master: 2.8
    • Master in Theology: 3.2
    • DMin: 3.3
    • PHD : 3.3
  8. Applications are to be typewritten and submitted in hardcopy together with the application of your studies.
  9. Application forms that are incomplete will not be processed.
  10. Successful applicants will be notified in writing.

Application deadlines

  • 1 February
    grant starting from July semester
  • 1 August
    grant starting in the following year from January semester
