Academic Admissions Application

Application to SBC programmes is made through the Registrar’s Office. Submission of the completed application form along with all supporting documents begins the formal application process.

Applicants are evaluated based on their maturity and intention to serve, academic qualifications, language proficiency, music proficiency (for music programme applicants), work and ministry experience, endorsement by sending agency, character assessments by their references, spiritual gifts and ministry potential, age and physical fitness and agreement with our statement of faith.

The following are required for evaluating an application:

  • A completed official application form (online submissions only).
  • Two recent color passport-size photographs taken within the last three months, with white background.
  • A written statement of the applicant’s conversion experience.
  • A written statement of the applicant’s call to ministry.
  • A brief personal doctrinal statement.
  • A church reference form.
  • Three character references forms.
  • A Health Declaration with a brief medical and psychiatric history and current health record.
  • A medical examiner's report to certify general fitness (applicable to international applicants).
  • A duly completed Financial Support form and signed by sponsors where applicable.
  • A copy of the birth certificate and passport for international applicants or a copy of the identity card for local applicants.
  • A copy of all relevant educational certificates and transcripts of secondary schools, colleges and universities attended. Transcripts in foreign languages must be translated into English.
  • Evidence of English language proficiency, either at a certificate level or in the form of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores. For TOEFL/IELTS scores to be valid, the test must be taken within two years of the date of application.   • Only international applicants need to complete all relevant immigration forms.
  • Non-refundable application fee.

  • Incomplete applications cannot be processed.
  • Submitting late or incomplete applications will result in your studies being delayed until the following year.
