As we step into a new era of theological education, SBC remains committed to fostering a vibrant community that embodies our mission, vision, and values. Our strategic goals for the next three to five years are designed to enhance our impact and relevance in a rapidly changing world.
Aligning Our Goals with Our Mission, Vision, and Values
Our mission at SBC is to glorify God by training faithful servants of Jesus Christ to edify the body of Christ and to make disciples of all nations. Our vision is to nurture servant leaders, integrative thinkers, and effective communicators of God’s Word. Our values emphasize being a Christ-like community of loving and faithful servants who exemplify respect and integrity, and pursue excellence in education to serve the body of Christ and society.
Forging a Future-Ready Community Culture
At the heart of our strategy is the development of our people and culture, which includes establishing a future-ready community culture. This involves educating students, staff, and faculty about AI literacy and building foundational infrastructure for it through our curriculum and operations, while integrating practices for holistic health.
By fostering collaboration among staff, faculty, and students, we aim to create a learning environment that equips individuals with the tools to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world. This future-ready culture supports SBC’s broader mission of nurturing servant leaders and integrative thinkers who can respond effectively to ecclesial and societal challenges.
Our Key Strategic Goals
- Technological Advancement: We aim to leverage technology, including AI, to enhance operational efficiency, teaching, and learning across faculty, staff, and students. This will enable us to adapt to the changing landscape of theological education while ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills needed for global missions. Our Hyflex educational delivery model will allow students from diverse cultural backgrounds to learn flexibly, fostering accessibility and innovation.
- Holistic Health: Recognizing the impact of rapid technological advancements on individual well-being, we are committed to cultivating holistic health—physical, emotional and spiritual health—within our community. By integrating wellness practices into daily life, we aim to mitigate the challenges posed by fast-paced technological changes while nurturing resilience among students and staff.
We believe the implementation of the above goals will enhance our academic programmes while fostering spiritual growth and personal development. By working together in unity, we strive to create a Christ-like community that exemplifies respect, integrity, collaboration, and excellence in education.
A Call for Support
To accomplish our mission, we need to raise $3,000,000 to cover a part of faculty and staff salaries and welfare, as well as $600,000 for student scholarships annually. Your prayers and financial support are vital as we build this future-ready community culture that glorifies God through theological education.
Join us on this exciting journey as we strive to make a meaningful impact in the church through the lives of our students and beyond.
