Connect on TK1843 at 0830 hours, arriving in Athens at 0900 hours. After immigration and customs clearances, meet and greet by a Greek guide and drive about 1.5 hours to Corinth. See the Corinth Canal, which cuts across an isthmus that connects the Peloponnese and mainland Greece. Lunch in Corinth before visiting Ancient Corinth and the Acrocorinth. Next, visit the Bema, where Paul was tried before Gallio and acquitted, the Shops, where Paul probably did his tentmaking with Priscilla and Aquilla, and the famous Stadium for the ancient Isthmian Games. See the Erastus Inscription, named in honour of Erastus, the city treasurer mentioned in Romans 16.23. Next to Cenchrea, the port for Corinth on the eastern side of the isthmus, the remains of the ancient harbour are visible in the water today. Paul had his hair cut here because of a vow, and then set sail from the harbour, concluding his 18-month stay in Corinth (Acts 18:18). Return to Athens for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy the Athens city tour and climb up the Acropolis Hill to see the famous Parthenon, the Erectheion and the Temple of Athena Nike. Then, walk to nearby Areopagus (Acts 17:22), where the Apostle Paul spoke to the Athenians about the one and only God. Our tour will finish with a panoramic bus tour to see the city’s highlights. Next to the Plaka for lunch before driving to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast visit the town of Kalambaka where we enjoy a spectacular drive up to visit two Meteora Monasteries, built on the top of colossal symmetrical grey and reddish boulders. Perched precariously high above the ground, they were first constructed in the 14th century by monks seeking isolation and salvation. Lunch and continue our drive to Berea where Paul and Silas ministered to the Jewish community of around 54 and 55 A.D. The two men had been driven out of the city of Thessalonica by an angry mob for spreading the gospel there. Paul and Silas made their journey from Thessalonica to Berea by night (Acts 17:10). Continue to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.

In the morning, a city tour of Thessalonica, a city founded in the 4th Century BC and named after the half-sister of Alexander the Great. Paul planted a church here and was later accused of ¡®turning the world upside down¡¯ (Acts 17.6). We will visit the Old City Walls, the White Tower, the Galerius Arch and the Rotunda. After lunch we continue our journey to Kavala for dinner and overnight.

This morning we will visit Pergamon, the city of a church that was affected by the doctrines of Balaam and the Nicolaitans. Take the cable car to visit the Acropolis, Temple of Athena, Temple of Trajan, the Library and the Altar of Zeus, widely believed to be the Satan¡¯s throne mentioned in Rev 2.13. Continue to Miletus Ancient City, the greatest Greek city in the east. It was the natural outlet for products from the interior of Anatolia and had a considerable wool trade with Sybaris, in southern Italy. We visit Didyma, located about 11 miles south of the ancient port city of Miletus on the western coast of modern-day Turkey. The Temple of Apollo at Didyma, or Didymaion, was the fourth-largest temple in the ancient Greek world. Visit a leather factory before transferring to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight.

Today, we continue our biblical journey to Ephesus, the loveless church and also the place where the Apostle John cared for Mary in her old age. We will visit St. John¡¯s Tomb and Church and the House of the Virgin Mary, the place where Mary probably spent her last days. After lunch, visit the ancient city of Ephesus. See the great Theatre (mentioned in Acts 19.29), the Temple of Artemis’s ruins, one of the world’s seven ancient wonders and other impressive monuments such as Celsius Library and the Arcadian Way that once led to the harbour. Drive to Pammukale for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today¡¯s tour starts with a visit to Hierapolis, an ancient city that reached the height of its development as a Roman thermal bath centre in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Hierapolis is also where the Apostle Philip was stoned to death, next to Pamukkale and the Cotton Castle, a place of magical and unique terraces and castles, created by deposits of white limestone from thermal springs. This spectacular natural wonder is also on the UNESCO World Heritage Protection list. After lunch, continue to Laodicea, the lukewarm church, and view the impressive ruins now partially restored, especially the Water Tower¡ªdinner and overnight at Pamukkale.

After breakfast at your hotel, we proceeded to Sardis, where the third of the Seven Churches, also known as the dead church that Christ hoped to rouse, was located. The great city of Sardis was once the capital of the Lydian Kingdom but was conquered by Cyrus when his troops scaled the city walls under the cover of darkness, like thieves in the night. Next, visit Philadelphia, the church that remained faithful, even though persecuted, and received Christ¡¯s promise of an open door. After lunch, we continued our biblical journey to Akhisar (Thyatira), the city of the 4th of the Seven Churches, an adulterous church. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, and we continue our drive to Istanbul for dinner and overnight.

Next to Hippodrome Square, Constantinople’s former centre of sports and political activities, view the famous Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column and Wilhelm II fountain. Our next site will be Topkapi Palace, the seat of the Ottoman Empire after it shifted its capital from Bursa to Istanbul. It is a museum palace today, with a wide collection of Treasury and Royal Antiques, Holy Relics, etc. In this palace, you can see Moses¡¯s stick, St. John¡¯s arm, and a part of his scull covered in gold.
