The journey of theological education is constantly evolving. One of the key drivers of that change is technology, which continues to shape education today, changing the way students learn. In light of all this, ITS is taking bold new steps forward by strategizing for SBC’s future technology ecosystem.
IT Services was restructured in early 2017 with an objective of enhancing the in-house application development services and to support the growing demand of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and compliances. The revamp prepares the team to focus on new technologies to support not only the existing learning methods but also to cater for the increased digital literacy of the new generation learners. New strategies include moving even more towards cloud services, adopting next generation Learning Management System, strengthen eLearning, and heighten integration with the backend systems.
The transforming will also see IT Services to be at the forefront of our college initiatives, working in close partnership with other departments. We will be actively aligning college strategies with technology.
